CEO & Co-Founders re-positioned to focus on growthCHALLENGES: Though Truth had created a leadership team the year prior to our engagement, their team was still relying on the partners to make most of the decisions. Their process for leading strategy and decision making had not yet empowered senior leaders to share the load, and this left the partners not only tired at the end of the day, but prevented them from focusing their attention on vision, strategy and expansion. The habit of depending on management for decision making and problem solving permeated other layers of the company as well. Leaders were ‘doing’ the work rather than ‘leading’ the work. SOLUTIONS: We helped Truth Collective shift their paradigm of leadership from management to coaching. The entire leadership team was trained up on effective coaching methods so that they, as leaders, learned how to unlock the potential in each other, and their entire staff. Leadership stopped giving advice and solving everyone’s problems, and instead started asking better questions. This has promoted empowerment and autonomy, and helps people grow through each interaction. We also created a change management team and developed their skills in leading and managing change for the company. This team drives the company strategy forward with a focus on inclusion, efficiency, and accountability. RESULTS: The CEO and co-founders are now able to focus on long-term strategy and growth, as their leadership team successfully executes the daily operations of the company. The entire leadership team now focuses on high-leverage tasks with their newfound skills to successfully delegate and empower their direct reports to fulfill their roles with more independence, effectively eliminating the bottlenecks to growth that previously existed.

Peak performance culture that attracts and retains top talentCHALLENGE: This company cares a great deal about the quality of work it produces for its clients, as well as customer service. In fact, their Net Promoter Score is a 76 (world class), as compared to an industry average between 0 and 15. This focus on customer service, unintentionally, resulted in an internal culture of everything being treated as urgent. This constant state of urgency, and leading contributor of stress, is a common attribute within the advertising industry and is typically accepted as just the way things are. In addition, a relentless pursuit of perfection that often paralyzed the staff. The fear of failure was pervasive and held everyone back from dreaming big. Staff, including leadership, felt overworked and as though they were at the beck and call of clients. The environment led to unproductive work habits as everyone tried to meet these perceived urgent requests on a daily basis. SOLUTION: We helped Truth kick fear to the curb, and instead, celebrate failure as an indicator of innovation. We helped the partners and leadership team de-prioritize or stop work that was not mission critical and tightly aligned to their business goals. We then assessed and helped improve their project management and daily operations to increase productivity and decrease wasted, unfocused work time. We trained the leadership team, then the entire staff, on topics like positive psychology, time management, active recovery and how to create flow state on demand. They also learned how to reframe their limiting beliefs about themselves, their people and what they’re truly capable of...they learned to dream big. RESULTS: Prior to our engagement, Truth had recently lost 3 of their top performers within a very short period of time. Shortly after our engagement, they promoted 4 top performers within a 90 day period. They also recruited and hired new top talent, who were excited to join the team because of their fully embraced peak performance culture.

Productivity increased 141%, equivalent to adding 39.5 full-time employees with zero hiring costsCHALLENGE: Due to the high-stress, Truth leaders and staff were distracted and not focused on high leverage tasks. They spent most of their day responding to emails, texts and Slack messages rather than doing their work. SOLUTION: We taught the entire organization our framework for high-performance time management, and activating flow on demand. RESULTS: The productivity enhancements implemented by the client yielded substantial bottom-line impact. Their team of 28 employees now operates at an efficiency level equivalent to a workforce of 67.5 employees.
